Off Week

This week was a good one needless to say. It was really cool getting all the congrats as well as the banners, baskets and balloons. Thanks to everyone, it has been really great!

The week was a time to reflect back on all of the encouragement that everyone had given all season long and the accomplishment of being able to follow through. The win also gave us a great opportunity to bond as a team. On Thursday, David had a luncheon at the shop. Troy (one of our fabricators) took David’s guitar, tuned it in, hooked it up and let her rip. That was pretty cool.

On Saturday we got together for a “Win Party” as Chase called it and just hung out. The team and their families were able to celebrate together. David finally got his champagne bath . . . and then a dip in the pool. I think that was one of the best bottles of Dom we have ever had. Oh, and Shelby thinks Chase is cute too!

The next couple of tracks that are on tap for us are my two favorites . . . Bristol and Richmond. Anything can happen at them and you can just about bet it will. The question is to whom and when. They will probably be two of the best races of the season. Be sure to tune into SPEED Channel so you don’t miss the action.

I get a sense that the team knows Monday is here, the win is behind us now and it is time to focus on the next race. After all it’s Bristol baby, Boys let’s Bring it!!
