In a Nut Shell . . .

Las Vegas

There is one thing I have learned by writing or not writing this journal that is always easier to write when you run well. When you have run like we have lately, it is no fun to write about it.

Vegas was a quick trip for us. The flight out was not too bad if you enjoy hour-long delays and full flights. Once we got to Vegas, the first place we went was In & Out Burger. They have got to have the best burgers ever! We need them back here! After that we checked into the Luxor and then it was off to the track for inspection . . . we didn’t have any major problems.

Paula made the trip to Vegas also, so I stayed with her on Friday night. We just hung out at the hotel and really didn’t do anything. I was exhausted from the trip out . . . so we ordered room service and called it an early night.

As usual it took all of the practices to dial the truck in . . . we were loose all day. Barbie II was no where to be found when it was time to draw for qualifying. I might have gotten fired from that job, but at least I showed up!!! Anyway, DR stepped on the gas as usual and we ended up third.

The truck was loose all night, really loose. I mean it was really, really loose. It was . . . well you know . . . loose. Kind of annoying isn’t, David? We finally got it tightened up at the end. BC put five or six rounds to it and then it was too tight! I think we learned some things and were taking them to the Texas test.

Texas Test – New Truck #10 and I can’t wait for y’all to see it. Because it is Bad fast!!!
